Terms of Service
Last updated 3 August 2026
These terms govern your use of the MIRNetworks website (the “Service”), operated by MIRNetworks (“we”, “us”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1.The Service
MIRNetworks is an informational website featuring an animated network visualisation over a world map, together with an optional administrator area for managing the site's appearance. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.
2.Accounts
Some features require an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your password confidential, and for all activity under your account. Do not share your credentials or let others use your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms.
3.Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- access, tamper with, or use non-public areas of the Service, or probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system without authorisation;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, data, or infrastructure;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service, for example by overloading, flooding, or spamming it;
- use automated means to scrape or harvest content in a way that burdens the Service;
- submit content that is unlawful, infringing, or malicious (including code or links intended to harm others); or
- use the Service in violation of any applicable law.
4.Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, code, text, and graphics, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from it except as permitted by law or with our written permission.
5.Third-party content
Administrators may import colour themes from third-party sources such as vscodethemes.com. Those themes and the works they derive from remain the property of their respective authors, and their use is subject to the terms and licences of those third parties. We are not responsible for third-party content or websites linked from the Service.
6.Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
7.Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, use, or goodwill, arising out of your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
8.Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these terms or of any law or third-party right.
9.Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you breach these terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will survive.
10.Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms.
11.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator's place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts there will have jurisdiction, except where mandatory local consumer law gives you additional rights.
